Solutions / Recreational clubs

For yacht clubs, golf clubs, and the like.

Junior, Senior, Family, Social, Honorary, Life. Whatever your club calls them, Sembr tiers them. Dues automation, event ticketing, slip and locker fees, guest passes, and a member portal that works on a phone.

Member tiers

Six tier shapes, infinite combinations.

Most clubs we talk to have six to twelve membership categories. Sembr handles the structure plus the per-tier add-ons.

Junior / Intermediate

Age-based tiers with auto-graduation on birthday. Reduced dues, restricted privileges, parent linkage.

Senior / Full

Standard voting members. Full facility access, full guest privileges, board eligibility.

Social / Country

Non-playing or partial-access members. Restricted facility privileges, scaled dues.

Honorary / Life

$0 dues, full privileges. Tracked separately for board recognition. No invoicing, full directory presence.

Beyond dues

Slip fees, locker fees, cart fees, guest passes.

Recreational clubs charge for more than membership. Sembr lets you add per-member tier add-ons that bill alongside dues, with their own renewal cycles and capacity caps. Members see the full bill in one place; the treasurer reconciles in one place.

Members can pre-book guest visits through the portal with capped daily/monthly limits per membership level. Guest fees post to the member's Sembr account and bill on the next invoice cycle.

  • Per-tier add-on pricing (e.g., slip fees free for Senior, $200/year for Social).
  • Capacity-capped add-ons (e.g., only 80 lockers exist; waitlist when full).
  • Guest pre-booking through the member portal.
  • Optional initiation fees and sponsorship workflows for new-member admission.

FAQ

Common questions from club managers.

Can we apply different dues to Junior vs Family vs Senior tiers?
Yes, plus add-ons (slip fees, locker fees, cart fees, season pass) per member. Each tier has its own dues schedule, fiscal cycle, and renewal logic.
How do guest fees work?
Members can pre-book guest visits through the portal, with capped daily/monthly guest counts per membership level. Guest fees post to the member's Sembr account and bill on the next invoice cycle.
Do you handle initiation fees and sponsorship workflows?
Yes. New-member admission supports proposer/seconder fields, board approval queue, initiation fee + first-year dues invoicing, and waitlist management.
Is the member portal accessible enough for older members?
The member portal is built mobile-first with WCAG 2.1 AA compliance: large touch targets (minimum 44px), high-contrast text, no auto-playing motion, full keyboard navigation. Magic-link login means no password to remember.
What about POS integration for the bar / restaurant / pro shop?
Phase 2. Today you can post bar/restaurant tabs as manual line items on the member's next invoice. POS integration with the most common systems (Toast, Lightspeed, Squirrel) is on the roadmap.
