Integration / Google Calendar

Sembr & Google Calendar.

Publish Sembr events to a Google Calendar your members can subscribe to. New events appear automatically in whatever calendar app they already use.

What this does

Calendar everywhere your members already are.

Publish to Google Calendar

Connect a Google account, pick a target calendar. New events, edits, and cancellations sync in near-real-time.

Subscribe-from-anywhere

Members subscribe to the calendar URL from Google, Apple Calendar, Outlook, anything that reads ICS.

Per-member feeds

Separate from this integration: each member gets a personalized ICS feed of events they're registered for.

Status: Phase 2.

Sembr ships with a generic ICS feed at launch (any calendar app can subscribe directly to a Sembr event list). Google Calendar as a separate integration is a polish layer, not a blocker.

FAQ

Common questions.

Can each member subscribe to a personalized calendar of events they're registered for?
Yes (separate from this integration). Sembr generates a per-member ICS feed automatically, available in the member portal. Members subscribe once and see their own events in any calendar app.
What if we already have a Google Workspace shared calendar?
The integration can target an existing shared calendar. New events post there; old non-Sembr events stay untouched. The integration only edits events it created.
Does this work with Google Workspace for Education / Nonprofits?
Yes. Any Google account that has Calendar enabled (free Gmail or paid Workspace, including Education and Nonprofits editions) works the same way.

Your event calendar, where your members already look.

Apple Calendar, Outlook, anywhere ICS works.
